DMCA Policy

EasyGrader.io respects intellectual property rights. This DMCA policy explains how copyright owners can report infringing content on this site and what happens after they do. We comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), 17 U.S.C. § 512.

1. What the DMCA Covers

The DMCA is a US federal law that gives copyright owners a formal process to request the removal of infringing content from websites. It also gives website users a process to challenge removals they believe were made in error. EasyGrader.io follows both sides of this process.

2. How to Submit a Copyright Infringement Notice

If you are a copyright owner or their authorized agent and believe that content on EasyGrader.io reproduces your original work without permission, send a written DMCA takedown notice to:

Email: easygraderio@gmail.com
Subject Line: DMCA Takedown Notice

Required Elements of a Valid Notice

Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3), your notice must include all of the following:

  1. A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or authorized agent
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed (or a representative list if multiple works are involved)
  3. Identification of the specific content on EasyGrader.io that you claim infringes your work, with enough detail for us to locate it — a direct URL is preferred
  4. Your full contact information: name, mailing address, phone number, and email address
  5. A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
  6. A statement made under penalty of perjury that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or are authorized to act on their behalf

Incomplete notices may be returned for correction before any action is taken.

3. What Happens After We Receive Your Notice

We review all properly submitted notices. If yours is complete and valid, we will:

  • Acknowledge receipt of your notice
  • Promptly remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing content
  • Notify the person who posted the content, if applicable

We are not obligated to act on notices that do not meet the statutory requirements above.

4. Counter-Notice Process

If your content was removed from EasyGrader.io following a DMCA notice and you believe the removal was a mistake, you may submit a counter-notice. Your counter-notice must include:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature
  2. Identification of the removed content and its original location on the site
  3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed as a result of a mistake or misidentification
  4. Your full name, mailing address, phone number, and email address
  5. A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for the judicial district where your address is located (or the US District Court for the District of Columbia if your address is outside the US)

Email: easygraderio@gmail.com
Subject Line: DMCA Counter-Notice

After receiving a valid counter-notice, we may restore the removed content within 10 to 14 business days, unless the original complainant notifies us they have filed a court action.

5. Repeat Infringers

EasyGrader.io will terminate access for users or contributors who are found to be repeat copyright infringers, in appropriate circumstances.

6. False Notices

Filing a DMCA notice containing materially false information can expose you to legal liability, including damages and attorney’s fees, under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f). Do not submit a notice unless you have a genuine, good-faith belief that your copyright has been infringed.
